FAQ

What you'reprobably wondering

The questions we get asked most, answered plainly.

Can you handle something our size?
20+ projects delivered. The largest brief currently live runs to over 100 items at up to 5,000 units each. Volume is the first thing we confirm with a workshop, before anything gets specified.
Is it worth it?
Our fee is a percentage of a project you're already spending. The failure it prevents costs a season.
Do you know our industry?
F&B, hospitality, fashion and gifting so far. Where we haven't worked in a sector, we'll say so on the call rather than in month three.
What if we just went direct?
Plenty of people try. It's a nine-month education, it works better in Japanese, and the workshops you most want are the ones that won't answer a cold inquiry. On the Niigata festival we approached 93 breweries to secure 8.
What if the workshop can't deliver?
Capacity gets confirmed at audit and again at order. If a workshop loses capacity in between we replace them with an equivalent, with your approval, and the program holds. On one project an artisan withdrew mid-development because the piece was too small for the work he wanted to put his name to. We had replacements sourced, and the withdrawal told us exactly what kind of practice the job actually needed.
How does a project run?
You approve at three points and we handle everything in between. Brief, proposal, sample, production, delivery.
